ABOUT ME
I began learning photography as a teenager when I found my grandfather's old 35mm Fujica in a closet. My interest quickly shifted toward digital, favouring adapted vintage lenses on mirrorless cameras - initially a Sony a6000 and now an a7ii. To this day I exclusively use prime lenses from the film era. I have a strong preference for the tactile controls and love the results they create.
In addition to my freelance work, I have been photographing Dawson College's Professional Theatre program's staged productions for the last four years. I work at Ok George! Studio as a production assistant/BTS photographer, and I shoot handbags for 2Authenticators' online catalog part-time. You can also find my personal passion projects on the last tab of my portfolio.
Photo Shooting
Headshot sessions are done in my home studio in Verdun. I use a combination of natural sunlight and professional lighting equipment to acheive my signature look.
Image selection
After every headshot/portait shoot, I sit with the client and look through everything we shot to help them select only the best images for the retouching phase.
Retouching
Retouching is a key part of my work. Whether it be headshots or photos of a staged production, all editing and retouching is done in-house with special attention for color and light.
